The beauty of cyanotypes is that they give a size ratio of 1:1 with the object depicted on the work. All the algae, therefore, are the size on the material that they are in real life.
Reading between the lines, you notice an absence in the image - the seaweed is not there - just a memory of it is.
The algae used are those I find thrown up on the beach after a storm.
